Oh no, you might fail! If you do, nothing in your life will change. You'll still graduate high school in two years and go on with your life, regardless of what grades you get as a sophomore in HS.

And if "don't like doing poorly", then why didn't you put in some effort in the first place?

I could easily work harder, but I think I have a good balance of work/social life/extra-curricular. Looks like, if things go as I think they will, I'll have a 2.9/3.0 this year (which is pretty bad, but I had a rough year), and a 3.8 last year. So right now I'm looking at a 3.4 so far.

eh whatever makes ya happy. ppl who only study in HS are off their rockers. For the most part, if you're smart enough to attend an uber university, you didn't have to work a lot in HS (extra-curriculars aside if you did'em).

That was true for me at least & most of the US people I know (not so true for foreign students... esp China/India have it rough with their insane testing programs). I had to try in English but other than that I pissed around.

I know people with 3.0 who work their asses off. I, myself, have a 3.93 or something (we have weighted grades) and I dont study for tests at all. i do do all my homework though.
