2.265. Blah. I suck at trying hard in classes that don't interest me. At least I already have a job.

People with 3.5+ GPAs (in science and engineering majors) How many hours/week do you spend studying?

BTW, if you're in high school, I don't care about your GPA at all, don't bother posting it.

really? i thought GPAs were supposed to go up in your last few years.
I remember my upper division classes being easy GPA boosters. The classes were tougher than lower division classes, but most people would get Bs or better. Fresh and soph classes, on the other hand, gave low grades to "weed people out".

Mine isn't too hot either (2.5), mainly due to the CS classes that are designed to give everyone Cs and Ds... now that I switched majors, my grades went up to a 3.5 last semester...

If you have a job, lower GPA's are acceptable. When I first went thru college, I worked full time and took full time class load. My GPA was in the 2's somewhere. Now I go to school full time and work a side business when I want to, and have nearly a 4.0 GPA. You only have 24 hours in a day and 7 days in a week like everyone else. Just do the best you can and don't sweat it!

Oh yeah and stop posting here so much!

Well, um, straight Cs would be 2.0, and 2.265 is higher than that, so....

Looking over my acedemic record online it looks like this:
B,C,C,C,C,C,B,A,B,C,C,C,B,B,C,A,C,C,B,A-,B+,C-,C,C

Too many Cs.

Absolutely true. There are only so many hours in the day. And you have to use them accordingly... and its just not about a job. I know some people who waste a lot of hours with habits/compulsions.... and, ahem, end up not doing so well in school.

I did pretty well in undergrad school in mechanical engineering. The BIGGEST thing I saw was that the people who did well were frequently those with really good time-management skills. I personally didn't work outside of class more than two or three hours a day--except, of course, when projects were due (or during senior design... grrrrr)--ONCE I found out that I shouldn't work in my room. Go to the library where you can't get "distracted" so that the five hours you "worked" actually consisted of talking to your roommate for an hour, playing on your computer for another, talking on the phone, emailing, etc (so that you actually only worked two hours). Plus, its a good thing to have a "safe zone"--a place you don't do work.

Anyhow... good luck with it!
