xmellyx's deep thought (what I'm gonna sleep on):

Why is the expression, "To catch some zzzz's" ? Are we catching the zzz's? How can we be catching zzzz's when we're trying to sleep? Either we are running around with a big butterfly net, or we are in bed, so which one is it? Then there's the Sandman--some dude who's supposed to bring us sleep by blowing sand in our eyes? How cruel is that? I don't know about you, but if sand's just been blown into my eyes, I would not be able to sleep...

Why is it that Sunday is technically thought of as the first day of the week? It therefore should not be referred to as "weekend", but "weekbeginning"--or else, Friday and Saturday should become the new weekend, thus making the standard workweek Sunday to Thursday.
