I almost pulled this off myself. I replaced the PSU in my friend's computer, and I asked him if he wanted me to replace his WinME with an extra copy of XP HOME. He said no because he didn't want to have to resintall everything. Oh well

An upgrade install, while not ideal is your friend in this instance.

True, unfortunately I only have some OEM copies, and I don't know how to do an upgrade with them (if it is possible).

once i tried installing ME on my pc but i ended up with win2k..dunno what happened...
