My Good and Bad expiriences with Capacity Calibration project

Train

Lifer
I decided to check out the Capacity Calibration project, afterall, it pays and it doesnt use CPU cycles, so i can keep my RC5 keyrate. Over the past week ive decided there are some very good things, and some very bad things about the project.

Good:
The Client Interface rocks, every DC client should take a lesson from this interface, it lets you easily switch the client on and off or set it to work only while on a screen saver or to work only during certain hours of the day. It also displays how many seconds the client has used since it was turned on, the current % of CPU usage, and the overall CPU usage, A++

Other good stuff you guys already know, like you get at least $10 a month if you leave it on for 10 days for 10 hours each day. or you can make more than that if you participate in a lot of tests. In my first week I averaged about 1 -2 tests every 2 days, and i never noticed a slow down, the avg test only moved a megabyte of data in a few minutes, which doesnt exactly kill a cable connection, i only turned it off to keep my ping reasonably low while playing online games.

Bad:
Today my ISP denied me an IP for about an hour, right after the Capcal client started its 5th test in a row, A total of 7 Megabytes, chopped up into a whole bunch of packets, sent very rapidly at servers god knows where, all in a matter of minutes. Im assuming I was disconected because my computer was exhibiting DDOS like behavior, something most major cable companies have programs set up to trap and shut down asap. I knew i was singled out because 3 friends in the area all had thier connections without a problem. I dont want my cable company thinking im taking part in some Denial Of Service attacks so I think I may quit this whole capcal thing.

I couldn't get it to work over my proxy with authentication, so I uninstalled it here at work, where the mojority of my work would come from. Plus, the thought of making money off of government owned computers rubs some people the wrong way.
