My golf/tennis ball cannon

When there's no worthy tech toys to spend my money on, I make stuff. This is my spud gun designed to launch tennis balls, golf balls and spuds, of course.

How do they classify it? Looks like you technically have to submit for classification, but if it's pneumatic based you're probably good to go in nearly every state.
