Hi,

I reinstalled windows and now whenever I boot the computer halfway through windows loading i get a beepbeepbeepbeepbeep! and a message: "Warning, boot sector about to be modified! press Y to accept any other key to abort. Thank you. Award bios."

I always hit abort and windows continues to load. Any thoughts?

Boot into the BIOS and disable the cmos virus detector.

you need to answer yes to make setup complete.

its just the anti virus in the cmos.

If you just reinstalled Windows, what data do you have to lose?

Also, check out your motherboard book. It should have a troubleshooting page listing what beeps correspond to certain errors.

Thx guys everything works now.....ya I just had to disable virus warning in my bios. Maybe I should read my mobo manual before freaking out ;P

reading the manaul is always good but the abit manual for KR7A-raid..does not list the beep codes...stupid in my opinion..not easy to find them...
