My god Okami is soooo frustrating at times

I absolutely hate the parts where you're required to do the same thing repeatedly and if you mess up once you have to go back sit through an unskippable conversation saying "you should do something" Even worse is getting all the way through and have it translate your circle to bring out the the sun instead of bloom. :|

Fun game but the brush system is way to strict at times.

I'm seriously ready to hang myself with my wiimote/nunchuck. I can't even quit unless I want to revert to an old save. fkjdsaoifjds!

Are you playing the Wii version or the PS2 version? I've heard the Wii version is way pickier than the PS2 version for detecting certain brush patterns, especially sun and bloom (it confuses them or doesn't register either in many cases).

I played the PS2 version and it was fine. Seems crazy, though, that the Wii version would be worse since the game seems like it would work so much better with a pointer instead of a stick for drawing. But I guess not.

The Wii version, that's sounds like exactly what's happening to me, it either doesn't register it correctly or mixes them up. I think it'd be a lot easier to draw accurately with a control stick. The pointer makes it easier to draw but unless you've got good aim and a steady hand it's quite a bit shakier.

I ended up shutting the damn thing off saving be damned. Chances are next time I play I'll get it pretty quickly, it always seems to work out that way.

Yeah, the PS2 version is supposed to be better in regards to the paintbrush techniques.

Yeah, that was really what made me stop playing the game - its just too difficult to use the brush with the wiimote. It should have been really easy, but its such a pain in the ass about making perfect lines and circles that its just a turn off in the end.

yeah because you're playing the wii version, that's the problem. Seriously the ps2 version is much more responsive.

Is the wii version of Okami that bad? I really liked it on PS2, plowed through the game in one weekend (was still in college at that time). To the OP, I'd say its worth it to finish the game, one of the better games I've played in a long time.
