I know i've always been a heavy snorer.... But this morning she told me shes been hearing me make suffocating noises while i sleep, pretty loud apparently.....

I've had gigantic tonsils for going on 8 months now, and am going in for a Tonsilectomy & Adenoidectomy in 2 weeks...

Is this some form of Sleep Apnea? Will getting my tonsils out help?

Its not sleep apnea, its the tonsils. Ive known a few people that had a similar problem. Getting the tonsils removed will solve the problem. If its not the tonsils, it will continue, and I would say its time for you to lose weight.

Lets see and you sleep on your back and get sleepy during the day????
Sounds like apnea.....
Try rolling onto one side, see if that helps.
