My girlfriend did the laundy. I had a check in my pants pocket.

People, quit trying to "blame" when there is nobody to blame. It was an accident. Chalk it up as a lesson, and move on.

Maybe you will BOTH check your pockets before doing the laundry now. It's a win-win.

I don't disagree but the person who left the check in the wallet is who allowed this to happen. The OP should have taken better care of its whereabouts. The OP has already admitted that he was wrong for blaming her, but it's the others here who still insist that she was entirely at fault.

It is not her fault.

I think we can all agree that it is proper technique to always check pockets before dropping the item into the washer, but if we are not the one dropping, we cannot argue this point. They (she) is doing us a favor by doing our laundy, therefore we cannot complain if a mistake is made. If you want it done right, do it yourself.

I prefer not to do it myself, that is my wife's duty, so I, therefore, do not complain about it.

Her fault, no questions about it.
You did not mistakenly forget your check in your pocket, she mistakenly did not check your pants pockets before throwing them in the washing machine, especially if the pants where not in the dirty laundry basket.

My pants were on the ground in the bedroom. It was the pants I wore last night. I came home late, took off my clothes, and hopped into bed. I left early this morning to do a photoshoot. I didnt think she'd do laundry this morning.

Definitely your fault. She tried to do something nice, and if you hadn't had the check in your pocket you probably wouldn't even have noticed or appreciated her doing the l7aundry.

Yeah, that really sucks that that happened, but definitely your fault. It isn't her responsibility to go through your pockets before washing YOUR clothes, and if she had would you really want her doing that? Too bad, but if you really don't want that to happen, wash your own clothes and don't throw your clothes on the floor.

If you blame it on her you don't deserve her. Thank her for doing your laundry and apologize for even considering it was her fault that YOU left a check in your pants.

I'd ask you to turn in your man card but I bet you already apologized for her running it through the wash.

Seriously, grow up

It's kinda funny that you answered your own question in the first two words of your question, yet didn't know the answer.

It was your mistake. Sure, your girlfriend could have checked to see if you made a mistake, but she didn't.

I think her fault. I always check hubby to be pockets .. I'm not ruining clothes due to an ink pen or anything else.

Yes You would think so!....BUT if they are doing it FOR YOU, do you have any right to complain??

NO!

Otherwise do it yourself.

Granted anyone with common sense would check the pockets, but you can't complain if they don't, because they are doing the laundry for you.

Her fault for not checking my pockets
Assuming that you normally put your clothes into a hamper or laundry basket. Since she took the initiative to pick your pants off the floor, it is her fault for not checking.

Disclaimer: I did not read the whole thread to see if you already addressed this.

Shes not your mother, and even your mother should have to check YOUR pant before putting them in the wash.

SCREW All of these hippies here. It's her fault - HER FAULT. Make her buy you a steak and then give you a blowjob. That's the only way I would settle it.

Doesn't matter whose fault it is, or even if it's nobody's fault; it's always your fault.

It doesn't sound like he asked her to wash the pants, so yeah he has a right to complain.

It's her fault for doing your laundry in the first place. ;)
