Miata = sport ONLY because of handling/ride not because of acceleration which has always sucked (from the factory), imo. You may argue otherwise, but, see OP for why you are wrong.

I remember studying my aerodynamics class (in the early 90's) that wagons often had lower drag coefficients compared to sedan/coupes.
