Yep, get her to a sleep disorder doc right away. I did not do this, but I do have narcolepsy. People don't know what a major pain in the ass it is. Your trying to work and you get the urge to sleep that is so bad that you can't concentrate or function. No matter how bad you fight it you know your either going to have to stop what you are doing and nap or your going to fall asleep while working.

What I was doing is getting up an hour after falling asleep, going into the kitchen , cooking, then waking up in the morning walking into the kitchen and going WTF ? Who made this mess ? It was only after talking to the doc and reading about the condition that things became clear.

People use the term sleepwalking , but people often do a whole lot more than just walk. I even heard of people that go out driving and come home, not knowing who had their car out or why it was out of gas.

Now I take concerta for the problem and haven't had a problem in a long time.

Sleepwalking (also called somnambulism or noctambulism[1]) is a parasomnia or sleep disorder where the sufferer engages in activities that are normally associated with wakefulness while he or she is asleep or in a sleep-like state. Sleepwalking is usually defined by or involves the person affected apparently shifting from his or her prior sleeping position and moving around and performing normal actions as if awake (cleaning, walking and other activities). It is inexact to assume that somnambulists are inconscious during their nocturnal sleepwalking episodes. They are simply not conscious of their actions on a level where memory of the sleepwalking episode can be recalled, and because of this, unless the sleepwalker is woken or aroused by someone else, this sleep disorder can go unnoticed. Sleepwalking is more commonly experienced in people with high levels of stress, anxiety or psychological factors and in people with genetic factors (family history), or sometimes a combination of both.

A common misconception is that sleepwalking is acting out the physical movements within a dream, but in fact, sleepwalking occurs earlier on in the night when rapid eye movement (REM), or the "dream stage" of sleep, has not yet occurred.

Obviously, you need to video tape her doing it for her to believe you. And then you need to post in on YouTube for our viewing enjoyment as well.

It sounds like a horrible situation, or you are playing the greatest prank in the history of pranks on her. Making her think that she is a sleep pisser, when in actuality you pee in things and make her feel bad for it...

I also had a buddy who has a history of peeing on expensive electronics, but it was in his sleep after he had been drinking heavily.

Could be caused by meds.
Could be caused by sleep debt
Could be caused by stress.

But I'm betting:
She's not familiar enough with the layout of your house to find it in her sleep. If you were to get her to sleep in the same place all the time and not move furniture around she'd probably learn the layout nad reliably find her way.

Whenever we change stuff around in my house that effects the bathroom path we have to be attentive for a couple of weeks. My six year-old gets messed up and will try and pee in random spots.

I'll bet you could talk her into giving you a golden shower and she wouldn't even remember the next day!!!
