My GF really doesn't know much about computers. We had a small fight today and she said "I don't like it when we have these little tiffs. Tiffs should stay on the computer". Then she cracked a smile and I had to LOL.
Did you actually say "LOL" or did you "LOL"?
I think it would have ruined the moment if I said "el oh el"... besides, does anyone actually say that?

What is she talking about? I know what the image format is, but I don't understand her using it in this context.I don't like it when we have these little tiffs

OHHHHHHHHH. Tiff, as in the picture format. I guess its been so long since I've used a Mac, or seen a .tiff picture that I forgot.
Can't believe that one went by me. So I guess the OP is a MAC user? I seriously haven't seen a Tiff file even used on a PC. Its all JPEG and PNG these days, although isn't Tiff capable of better resolution then PNG, or is PNG the highest quality picture format?

TIFF's are uncompressed images, or slightly compressed. I use them all the time. They are good for going between PC and MAC's etc.Originally posted by: ghostman

Imaging for Windows (part of the Windows 9x, 2k installation) uses TIFFs. If I'm not mistaken (which I might be since I don't use that program), TIFFs were the default format it used for a time.
