P.S. I'm a cheap bastard, but not that cheap.

We'll see how things turn out.

Tip: if you want a thread to have quick replies, make sure a girl is involved.

When a woman tells a man she does not want him spending money on her she is palnning on leaving him when the time is right and does not want to feel guilty for taking presents from him considering her current feelings.

Its a trap. She's gonna bite your head off if you don't get her anything shiny within the next 12 months

When a woman tells a man she does not want him spending money on her she is palnning on leaving him when the time is right and does not want to feel guilty for taking presents from him considering her current feelings.
Excellent guess!

Danger, danger, she's going to whip out the double reverse psychology on you soon, you'll think you've won, but have actually lost even while you were in the planning stages.

For once in my life, I have to propose that the AT take on this may be right -

this is one of two things.

She means it. (Yes guys, it IS possible)
Or she means, "I don't want you to feel like you HAVE to spend money on me." That breaks down into, "wow, I'd love a gift like that but I'd like it because he wants to get it for me, not because he feels like he has to get it for me."

I never understood why you guys tend to see the last option as manipulative. Girls just harbor the fantasy that somewhere out there is a guy who might actually like getting a gift for them for the sheer pleasure of it, and they want to be sure that any gifts you get aren't from obligation - of course, they're never certain what your motivation was.

And......this is DEFINITELY the case if she has done a 180 on the situation and is normally a money grubbing materialistic whore....oops, sorry I jsut had a bitch flashback.

Listen... and Listen well.... its a TEST... I REPEAT.. THIS IS A TEST....

do NOT believe her when she says that she doesnt want anything. She may THINK that she doesnt.. but she will be VERY disappointed when you follow through on it.

Its like when you ask "is something wrong?" and she says "no" but you know something is wrong.
