My GDM-FW900 is scheduled for delivery tomorrow!

A 101 pound package shipped ups ground 400 miles will arrive just two days after it shipped!

This is a Sony 24" flat wide CRT monitor I bought on E-Bay for $450.00 after I returned my $860.00 2405fpw.

I am amazed that it will get here that quickly :shocked:

Keep in mind the viewable area is significantly smaller than the 2405FPW.

Very nice monitor, though I think I will go for the LCD when my 19" CRT has outlived its usefulness (it's teetering on the edge right now).

I really want to compare HL2 at 1920x1080 to what I saw on the 2405fpw, I sent the 2405 back because of what I considered poor DVD quality and smearing in Q3, HL2 did look perfect though, and I really liked the screen size so I am hoping the fw900 will be the best of both worlds.

14% difference in viewable area...

I dunno, with refurb GDM-FW900's going for about the same as the Dell (new) I find it really hard to justify the Sony.

Looks like you got a nice price on a used one though, hope it works out for you.
