My gateway tablet PC keeps randomly making bios beeps

Why? It gets annoying. even when it's plugged in, it has perfect ventilation, and the speakers are on mute, it will beep. Even when it's just sitting there and i'm not even using it. Why does it beep and is there any way I can stop it?
