Well i got 2 new HD and wanted to put them as ATA133 not as raid so i downloaded the latest driver from Gigabyte's site and try to install the driver but it kept saying that the driver isn't compatible with winXP even though the official site says it does support winXP.
I'm currently using winXP Pronon-sp1 version.

How do i make this work?
IDE3 1x 80gb WD -
\
------trying to set up as ATA133 not raid 0 or 1
/
IDE4 1x 80gb WD-
did this since i had 2 one headed IDE cable.

i know this may be basic, but did you set the controller to ata in the bios instead of raid? they use different drivers i believe.

I'd double check that switch int he BIOS again. That's what did it for me - I wanted to run striping with mine but it kept blowing past that step. I changed the ATA / RAID entry, and it worked great. Perhaps (longshot) you didn't actually SAVE the BIOS settings when you exited?

Other thing to try, is make sure, absolutely sure, the jumpers ont he drives themselves are set correctly, as masters, and single drive masters if there's a difference. My WD brand drives have a unique setting that is not the typical "master" setting. If I use the wrong ones, neither drive shows up.

I also have a question similar to that, but a step further in - when installing 2000 or XP, you do the "F6 to load SCSI drivers" bit. But there was no floppy included with the board that had these (not included with mine anyway, and it's not listed in the parts list in the manual). I am stuck here.

I've tried copying them from the CD-ROM to a floppy, from the Gigabyte site, and from Promise's site as well. But it's a jumble of files I'm guessing at, there's no true "setup floppy" I can create. Any ideas? If there IS a floppy, is anyone able to e-mail me a copy? Or, can anyone let me know exactly what files are needed to make one?

Basically, for owners of the board, who are running 2000 or XP, what did you use, and would you please help me with a copy?!?
