Last night my g/f took me to Yamashiro (uber-fancy Japanese restaurant on the top of the Hollywood hills) for no apparent reason.. During dinner she presented me with a lily (the kind in the "40 days and 40 nights" movie), a heart-shaped vase that took her 2 weeks to find, a bottle of sand (some of which was already in the vase) representing the happiness that filled her heart, and as I finished reading a poem she had written, she told me she had fallen in love with me.. What a coincidence, because i had chosen last night to give her a poem I'd written telling her the same.

I've never had someone put so much time and effort into something so simple as saying "I love you."

*sigh*

Yes, I know that's probably one of the hoplessly sappy things ever. And no, I have no pics of her, you leches! I'll just say she looks a lot like Meg Ryan. :D

With the rate my social life is going.. I dont know if I will go thru the same events as others go thru.. *read: she hasnt called and I dont want to push it*.
So for the moment I will glow with your story.. :)

wow dude, thats a nice coincidence, that you'd both written poems for each other at the same time.

thats probably as rare as the mutual breakup.

I'll say. We both were really nervous about it too.. we were both a bit afraid it might have been "too early" (we've been together 6 weeks) but i guess the timing was perfect. :)

I can only wish all of you the best of luck in finding the same love and happiness that I've found.

SaltBoy, she bought you a RioVolt 250! Damn, what a woman. ;)

heh, my girlfriend's actually coming up (lives an hour away, at home, I'm at UM) right now.....2 years and 3 months now. hah. :) No specific reason to brag here, I'm just always happy with her.

Okay, time to go kill something/someone in a game. ^_^

That's what I'm afraid of. I'm the sort of special that'll get you into a mental institution. ;) I need to pretend that I'm NOT special.

Yo,
That is awesome...

The only thing that would concern me is that she sounds overboard in the romantic department, that she may not be a person that has her feet on the ground. Let's hope she is, so you'll have both a romantic and practical companion. :)

A dinner in a place with a view is terrific... so is the poem... but everyday life is another story. Doing laundry, taking out the trash, shopping for grocieries, paying bills and taxes, vacuum cleaning, fixing dinner, washing dishes, saving for retirement, taking care of the children, cleaning up after the pets, getting up and going to work each day.

A woman once told me that one of the most romantic things a person can do in their life is to get up and go to work each morning, so they can earn a living to take care of their family.

Good luck,
PCM
