My fuel gauge is possessed...

When I turn on the car (not crank it up, just turn the key to the first position), the gauge goes to 1/4 full and then goes all the way over to the full mark. When I crank up the car, it kinda takes awhile to get to its true position, but today it went to 3/4 full and stayed there even though I drove for about 10-20 miles. I know it was not 3/4 full because I had 267 miles since my last fill up...

What does this repair entail, if indeed a repair is needed...

No repair is necessary. Use the trip-o and refill every 250-300 miles, depending on your car. I had an old Toyota on which this was the ideal solution, as the car was worth very little.
