I don't know what'll fit without massive mods to the mounts/car itself. It's a 2nd Gen Integra LS, and the motor's getting a little long in the tooth. He'd like to up the power a little since he likes the car so much. I'm not much of a Honda guy, but I wanna help point him in the right direction. Are there any honda specific forums I could check out to get some more specific advice? Thanks for any help guys!

This is definately the wrong place to ask this question.

Go to honda-tech.com.

I'd say maybe a GSR motor.

Just tell him to put some stickers on it and a mosquito muffler. He'll be amazed at the added horsepower.

B16B unless he feels like getting the B18C5, both are Type-R engine, the B16 is the Civic Type-R with 185hp and the B18 is the Integra Type-R with 195.

I'm guessing your friend doesn't want to spend the $4000 plus for a B18C. I'd stick with a B16 since they can be had much cheaper. Do you live in a state with tough emissions laws?

Of course you can make it fit. There are small block chevy lawnmowers out there, for christ's sake.
i dont know why but this made me LMAO! :D

oh yeah and i heard of someone chaining in a V8 in a civic. it HAS been done. next to impossible and definitely not practical in any way, but... definitely cooler than a riced out or normal civic :p

There was actually somebody over on turbododge.com that had a Honda and was planning on putting a dodge 2.2l turbo in it. Haven't seen him post anything for awhile though.

My grandpa has a Dodge Challenger sitting disassembled in his shop, perhaps a 7.2L V8 would give that Integra some life?

It's my uncle's car, he's had it since he was 16... I doubt it's available. Besides, if it WAS available I'd want the first shot at it.

I've known it was there for years, but never knew what it was. It's in pieces spread all over the place, stuff stacked on it, etc. but when I heard 440 my eyes lit up.

Sounds like he doesnt' have much intention of getting that thing on the road again!

He has a wife & kids, plus a job that requires lots of travel & OT.

It's probably not a high priority for him at the moment, but the sentimental value (his first car) probably precludes him entertaining thoughts of selling it.

I won't even insult him with an offer, but if I ever hear ANY indication that he might be willing to part with it...
