Okay- I will elaborate on this whole story starting from the beginning....
Their is this girl I know (we are decent friends), and she has had lots of problems due to what I believe a messed up family life. Two years ago her mom killed herself on her (my friends) birthday (her parents were divorced). Now none of her relatives will talk to her except for her grandparents because they think her mom killed herself because of the girl. Her mom was pretty messed up (drug/alcohol abuse/emotional/physical problems).
Now to get to the present, tonight her dads wife (who hates the girl) said, "You take me and kyle or her!" (Kyle is her little brother whom the step mom likes). The dad chose to take her and kyle, and so they all left and told her that they dont care if they come back to the house and shes dead. That was that.
Now heres the dilemna -
She doesent know what to do. Ive told her to call her grandparents, but she says she already has and they haven't picked up. I also told her to call the cops, but she doesen't want to do that. So now I just told her to get some sleep and call her grandparents in the morning, but shes still freaking out.
What would you have her do in this situation?
EDIT - The dads problem with her is that she doesent obide by his rules. But he has his fair share of problem (drug/alcohol abuse). They get in many feuds and such because she has had lots of drug run ins and such.
***UPDATE*** - This girl being the brilliant person she is decided to call her dad and leave a message (because he wouldnt pickup her calls), and say that she was having a "mad rave" at the house and the kids were ruining everything. So about 5 minutes ago they came back, and then kicked HER out. So now shes out on the street talking to me thru IM on her cell phone.
***UPDATE #2*** - She now has found herself at a park with "lots of snakes". She was planning on staying there for the night and starving herself because the bus in PV was down for the day or something. She wants to go down to her grandmas house now which is 30 minutes away. I told her to take a cab but she said she had no money. Then I came up with the suggestion to have her grandma pay for it at the door.

her (7:13:56 PM): cuz i dont have a single ****** penny
me (7:14:05 PM): your grandma can pay for it when u get to the door
her (7:14:32 PM): hmmmm GOOD IDEA
her (7:15:02 PM): WHY DIDNT I THINK OF THAT
me (7:15:08 PM): cuz i think for you
her (7:15:29 PM): YES YOU DO
***UPDATE #3*** - Okay shes at her grandmas now - heres the convo - dont laugh too hard...
her (9:03:42 PM): ya im at my grandmas and my grandma was pissed they did that and called social services...
me (9:04:08 PM): yeaaaa
her (9:06:14 PM): so whats social services
