My friend's college email got cracked by his ex's crazy new bf... is there any way he can trace the ip of who did it?

As explained above, somebody got his college account chacked and he keeps sending email in his name... any ideas on how he can get back at this idiot? Any easy way to trace back his ip and stuff?

Look at the e-mail header, it should include the IP address of the sender.

if his college's IT department is worth anything, he should be able to contact them and they will find them.
