You just have to put them on eBay. The people that collect them are the people that know.

You just have to make sure you take as detailed and as many pictures as you think you need to, so they can identify them. Also describe the item as best as you can, and put the item into the correct category, or multiple categories.

lol.. that show rocks. :D

If you're serious about finding a value, I agree.. have them appraised by someone who knows the type of item.

You can let eBay appraise them for you, but you never know.. you might not be able to capture an element that really tells a collector what the item is, and therefor miss out..

go to some antique shows and try to find similar items. Take the stuff with you, peeps always want to share their knowledge about your stuff!

some antique shows have free appraisal services, regardless if you bring them by and see what SEVERAL merchant will pay you may get a good idea of value.

Also many books are out there...I found a lot of my mother's stuff in them....she has about $100k in just knick knacks (mostly old tiffany and wedgewood).

Watches are very popular and fetch high amounts, sometimes over 'value'.
