My friend wants to pay for my plane tickets. She has no internet skills. Can't even work Orbitz.com

I have a female friend in a far away city (i.e. it's not driveable). Typically see her twice a year.

She volunteered to fly me to see her, and pay for my ticket. This is good.

The bad part is that she's trying to book me a round trip ticket (good) but her intarwebz skillz are severly lacking. (bad)

Instead of a one-stop flight with a two hour layover (that I could easily find) she's got me changing planes twice, with a four hour layover....with an overall 12 hour trip for what really is a 5 hour trip.

I am grateful, but damn...it's like I am going on safari. :Q

She called me, frustrated at her inability to understand "all the stuff on the screen" on Orbitz. I TRIED to walk her thru it...but to no avail. She's not dumb. She is a freakin' accountant! She can add up huge columns of numbers in her head...but she can't READ? WTF?

There is this thing called a phone. See what you do is find the flight on the airline you want and then call her and give her the flight number and the phone number for the airline.

Argh! I did that hours ago. She's clicking away b/c she can't wait for pages to load, I'm trying to stay ahead of her with my Internet Skillz, but she's clicking on some link for shoes on sale...I wanted to choke myself...and if I lived, then her!
