My friend pick up this ATI thing...

My friend picked up this thing at best buy the other day for cheap because they are discontinued. Firingsquad gave it a good review but, I'm still a little confused as to what its for.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Compusa has had that price for a few months now. It's a great HDTV tuner. Reception is great in my area and all my regular channels are also in HD.
