"i have a sick illegal idea"

his idea: he just bought real oakleys from finishline. he wants to buy fakes at a local festival that takes place this weekend, then return the fakes with his receipt. he claims there's no difference between the fakes and the real ones, other than the lenses.

he bought the glasses using my finishline winner's circle card. so if he returns fakes, then i get fvcked if they figure it out. i just mentioned that to him.

your friend is an idiot. There is no place that you can get a reasonable looking fake of anything in this country. I've searched high and low and they don't even match up to high quality fakes from the orient. There is no market in this country for high quality fakes because we can't take advantage of American tourists who think they're getting their goods straight from a sweatshop.

If you don't believe me, take both pairs of glasses to a pawn broker and ask how much he'd give you for both of them. He'll take the real oakleys and then throw the other pair in the garbage.
