I was over at my friends house the other day and I have known this guy for years. He is always saying and doing stupid things that he thinks are funny. Sometimes he is funny, but most often he is just dumb.

Anyway, we were watching TV and he says too me, "watch this". I said, "oh no." He got this big grin on his face and shouted to his wife, who was in another room, "honey, I got the babysitter pregnant!". Let me make this point clear: he and his wife have been arguing for a few days now about stuff and now he says this, thinking its funny. Their babysitter is only 15 years old and is very nice looking for her age.

She goes ballistic and starts screamming, " what the *%^& is wrong with you. Having sex with a 15 year old?" and on she went. He starts laughing while I excuse myself and leave. I will phone in a few days and see what happened.

Some people just don't know when to be serious.

Considering that my daughters will be 15 "soon" I don't think it's something I'd do. Although I do think it was funny.

I'm not sure that's "funny" if you know in advance she's going to go ballistic. That's abuse. Funny is when you expect the wife to say "Hey, that's a coincidence, her brother got me!"

I find a lot of things funny but frankly anything about having sex with little kids is pretty disturbing in my book

I'd probably do it, although not while we're arguing. My wife's sense of humor can be as sick as mine sometimes. :D

I kinda get the feeling that she knew he wasn't serious. Even if she was yelling.

People need to express their anger.

We say equally offensive/stupid things to each other all the time (the wife and I).

The big question is, what were they arguing about? If it was about him having an affair, then it wouldn't be funny at all.

From what I can tell, they have been arguing about many things, ie: money, work, stress, etc.

She is very nice and all but has a temper that can get out of control. He is pretty easy going. He likes to push her buttons. Sooner or later she is going to leave him if he doesn't start taking things seriously. She is also 5 months pregnant.

We were watching Jerry Springer at the time so that is where he got his "idea" from.
