Okay....I have a new friend who is a woman....she's got a boyfriend with leukemia.....who lives many states away.....we went out to dinner...I paid...she dropped me off where my car was parked....we've talked via email for about a couple of weeks prior to this.....talked on the phone once aftwards and prior to the dinner.....looking to talk to her again via email and phone and having dinner again same time and place 2 weeks from now.....buddy of mine says not to get attached to her....I said I won't allow myself to.....anyone else in this same situation who has friends who are women and are attractive and make you feel hot....prolly as the friendship continues I may loose this hot feeling but doubt it since she is hot...

Hey....she's willing to go out with me and eat dinner...willing for me to pay for it and for me to sit in her car while she drives us to the restaurant....willing to sit and talk to me and email me and talk via phone.....she's got good intentions...I just don't want to be the victim here....I'd like to help in any way I can to lighten her life at the moment....
 
If there's one thing I've learned through my years, its that you can't control who you love or when you find them. Not really any advice, but its my POV.

I thought I'd be single for life, but I'm getting married in 5 days. I got lucky and found the one.

That's probably what she needs right now. Just someone to take her mind off what her bf is going through for a few hours. I agree with everyone else, don't be a dick. But keep her happy, it's the least you can do for her.
