And HE is wondering what you think people's reactions would be to HIM? I mean, what sort of things do you think I could expect ....to...tell him he might be going through? He's a really good friend, so I know HE is 100% serious. Any advice for my FRIEND?

Thanks, all...this means a lot to me...

Tell him to not worry about what people think. If someone decides to hate him for it then that person's a fvcking moron anyway.

He needs as many supportive friends around as can be possible. I'm sure there are groups, chat lines, etc. that can help him talk it out. When he's ready, he's ready.

[intenernal strife] Now, do I take the obivous bait and accuse him of being a flaming homosexual and how obviously gay he is? Would that be too easy, much like kicking an 80-year old woman when she's fallen and she can't get up? What to do, what to do . . .. [/internal strife]

:confused::confused::confused:

If someone stops being someone's friend because their friend can actually live their life the way they want to and be respected for their own choices then that person isn't a friend in the first place.

Well, you see, this FRIEND doesn't have any friends, really. Well, me, of course. I'm really a close...friend. I've tried...telling him to look to chat rooms and the like, but its not much help.

Anything else?

I'd get the fvck away from any of my friends who was gay. I hate all homosexuals, disgusting and amoral.

There we go folks, the bigot of the new millenium.

Each generation needs someone to hate, our ancestor's had blacks/jews/etc and the new generation has gays!

Hurrah!

I don't disagree with you at all but that doens't change the fact that the possibility is there. I have a very personal experience with this one so I know a little about it. A friend of mine that I have known for 25 years but hadn't seen in a while decided to share with everyone that he suffered from gender Identity crisis and was becoming a women. I'm really the only person he knew before this revelation that still talks with "here", and believe me it is dificult seeing my high scool buddy sporting boobs!!!!!!

I feel such bigotry in this thread against gays. :(

For my friend, of course.

Actually, I don't care if you're gay, just don't live like it. Gayness shouldn't be a lifestyle. Straightness isn't.

You mean the hot pink shoes and the slinky, reflective shirt accenting the limp wrist has to go? :(

He is thinking of literally coming out of the closet. He has been in there for 3 days now having a temper tantrum.

Get your a$$ out of there.
