But now.. I cant wait even more🙁 😛

Oops, just realised there was a premier last night as I typed that 🙂 There have been a couple fo shifty versions floating around locally which I have gone out of my way to avoid (who wants to see LOTR on a 17"?)

My ticket is booked for 8 days from now, which is the second screen woot

Sweetass dude!

Man... Dec 18th at 10pm (my advance tickets 😀) can't come soon enough. This last week is going to seem as long as the past year!!!

I'm wondering if this may be one of the most anticipated movies of... all time? Sure seems like it. I'll tell you one thing, its about time these outstanding pieces of literature finally made their way to the big screen. I'm also very glad to see that it was revered as one of the greatest stories of all time when they made the movie. It seems as if they've really done their homework.

I cannot wait!

Anticipated movies of all time? Maybe for geeks. Out of everybody i know, i'm the only one that seems interested in this movie.

not here. out of everyone I know that I've talked to about this movie (around 30 or so), only 5 of us have actually read the novels. But every last one of them is brimming with excitement about the movies. *shrugs*

That's almost exactly what my brother said to me the day I went to see Star Wars for the First time

The LOTR books are a bit more of a geeks affair. The hobbit is very widely read as a childrens book and millions of people have read LOTR- even if it is the only 'fantasy' book they will ever read.

Whether the movie will 'hit' or 'miss' I have no idea. Personally i dont think it will top Harry Potter, but i'm hoping it will be a great movie- although it wont necessarily be a good adaptation of the book

Although he is a great guy, I was sceptical about Peter jackson as a director- i'll be very happy if he has turned out a winner

Nope, sorry. I think Star Wars Episode 1 beat that...except for f*cking Hairy Pottur.

Hehe... seems that everyone and their grandmother has read at least one of the books... except me! 😱
So... like would I enjoy it is now the question... I don't wanna blow $9 to see something that confuses the living crap out of me.

You really should read, at the very least, the Hobbit befoe seening the LOTR movie. The Hobbit sets the stage and introduces you to Hobbits. It is a very easy and quick read, could be done in a few days so there is still time before the movie is out. DO IT!

Don't worry, this movie isnt meant for just the people who read the books, but for everybody.

Still, Readd the hobbit before seeing it, and read LotR after.....and of course, the Silmarillion.
