My friend got a ticket for a speed contest

me and a friend were driving in his nissan altima, and we raced an older mustang (pre-70's?), when we raced, i was in the passenger, and held my hand out the window and flagged the race, when we hit about 95-100, the cop hit his lights, pulled us both over. both drivers got participating in a speed contest, which is $500, and their insurance will sky rocket i would think. and he told me he could give me the same ticket, cause he had me on camera with my hand out the window, but he didn't thank god.

we beat the car anyway, not by much, probably 1 car length, from 30 to 95(100).

we didnt argue with the cop. my friend is gonna pay the ticket... he made the choice to race... crap happens.

anyway, that sucks. and he wonders why i dont like to race my cars

By the time he pulls you over, he's got your plate called into dispatch already. If you 'go the other way' then you'll eventually get arrested for obstruction of justice or some other felony charge. Once again, I maintain my position that you're a flaming MORON.

he just pulled up behind us, the mustang pulled off, and he followed us into a parking lot and told us to go by the other car, then he followed us.

there are no drag strips around here. there is nothing to do around here, hence the reason for racing.
this was around 2am. on us highway 2, with no other cars around. we werent racing through the middle of the town or anything.

Doesn't matter in the eyes of the law. Sucks to be your friend, but I'm glad he's owning up to it.

We didn't blow by a cop @ 100... he was parked behind a building saw us both driving next to each other, pulled out, we didn't see him, as he was following a good 1/2 mile back, and he waited.

We live in Montana. the cop said he had to go see the judge to pay the fine and thats it?
What more could there be to it?
