But I just found out today.

:(

Apparently, he died in the shower sometime Friday. He was found by building maintenance on Sunday morning due to water issues from the shower. I feel bad for Cliff (the maintenance man) finding him like that. That would have been a horrific sight and smell.

Bruce was suffering from various medical issues, most notably high blood pressure (I mean seriously high) and some psychological ones. He had a stroke 6 months ago and he started becoming obsessed with certain conspiracy theories. He became more and more erratic, going on about chemtrails, demons and getting more and more paranoid. He became very reclusive and couldn't hold a conversation for more than 10 minutes before going off on a tangent. I urged him to get medical help but he refused. One month ago he got rid of his cell phone because he believed the police were monitoring him with it so I couldn't get a hold of him easily.

Before these troubles happened he was a talented musician and had mastered several instruments like guitar, saxophone, keyboards, drums, etc... He used to upload videos of his playing and he used to post lessons for others. He could sing quite well. His youtube channel is still up but he hadn't uploaded anything in 5 years.

And that brings me to today, finding out the hard way his suffering is over. He has no immediate family to be contacted so I guess the coroner's office or the police will have to start looking into it.

Goodbye Bruce, I'm going to miss you a lot.

That's sad. Sometimes, no matter how much we want to help, it just isn't possible. So sorry for your loss.:(

That's rough news man, I'm sorry.

Your poor friend, having the issues you mentioned plus no immediate family. I have a lot of sympathy for people in that situation, it's a hole many never exit. Your sad news makes me consider someone I worry about, I feel like I might be in your shoes in the not too distant future.

I think you should celebrate your friend not suffering anymore, go grab some of his music to hang onto. Maybe help the county with some names so they can contact his next of kin? Don't let his service be as lonely as his final days. Our friends deserve that. :(

Condolences Iron, hang in there dude.

Was he on blood pressure medication?

Sorry about the loss of your friend.
yes he was. It was making him sluggish all the time.

I saw his BP results a few years back and it was scary. Something like 200 over 190.

:(
