He was on the side of the road in the rain helping a stranded motorist and was killed by a driver who was probably drunk. (It hasn't been officially confirmed, but I don't know... A lot of drunks drive that stretch coming to and from the clubs in Orlando. How can you hit a person with lethal force and not particularly notice it?)

"According to the highway patrol report, Jeffrey Murray, 4650 Zoltan Drive, Titusville, came over the overpass in his 1999 Nissan Maxima, saw the pickup truck and heard something strike his vehicle. He pulled over and discovered he?d hit Berglund, who died from his injuries."

my condolences.

Is it normal for the new to report exact street addresses? or is this the police blotter.

He was in the middle of a name change that apparently hadn't gone through all the way. I guess this is so people can identify him more easily. It's a very long story.... he was getting it changed to Ace Danger Gambino.

Another reminder to be very careful when getting out to the road-side on ANY roads. If you feel danger, just move to passenger side and get out from that side.

He hated his name because of his family situation. I didn't like prying too much on that out of fear of bringing up something he would have rather forgotten, and I'd rather not talk too much about it online. He wanted Danger as a middle name so he could claim, with honesty, "Danger is my middle name" just like Austin Powers. He was quite a funny guy who didn't overcomplicate life with seriousness.

He's been into a decent amount of trouble, but he recently started going to church again. It's interesting that he's now essentially a martyr, killed trying to help someone. That makes this a lot easier for me to handle, but I guess too that it hasn't set in yet. I got the phone call this morning from another friend.

Hopefully this wasn't alcohol related, but it's sad either way. :(
