My friend closed my Firefox windows then firefox?

I had some old tabs open for a few weeks as I've been doing some research for a project I'm working on. My friend took it upon himself to close everything when he used my computer last night. My restore tab and restore windows options are grayed out. Is there any way to find them and get them back?

Well I'm sure everything is in the history, but the tabs I kept were the 20-30 that were most relevant to what I was working on. So what I'm trying to do it avoid digging through 2 months of so of history to get them back. Any ideas?

Doesn't firefox ask you if your sure you want to close the program ? If this still doesn't work what about figuring out a way to lock windows as well ?

Well he closed everything then put my laptop into standby. I don't think it's something that will happen again. I'm just more concerned about recovering the tabs that were lost. I don't know why restore tab/window option isn't available right now.

Because those features are only designed to work when Firefox was closed non-gracefully *or* the user requested that the session be saved on exit.

And for what it's worth, never rely on that working... just bookmark tabs if they are important to you.

Had to learn this the hard way.... like... 10 times so far

Just bookmark, or throw the links in a temp folder and order them later on.

tabsmixplus has session saver, not just a single session restore. or you can save all tabs as a bookmark folder.
ur friend probably surfed teh pr0ns and cleared private data after? i dunno.
but yes, crash or whatever rapes session restore, even with tabs mixplus which is a pain. only bookmarked tabs are resistant

Yeah i think you are SOL here, if he closed the windows gracefully, and confirmed he does want to close all tabs when he did so, firefox would not have a reason to store the locations of any of the sites.

You had the tabs open for a FEW WEEKS and never bookmarked them? I can understanding not bookmarking them if you anticipated having them open for just a few hours, but WEEEEEKS? FAIL
