My friend works Marketing for Intel in Portland. He talked with Anand at Comdex. My friend emailed me and said, "I saw your buddy Anand." I said, I just buy and sell stuff on his site. Don't know him from Adam.

Not to knock Anand or anybody else who's friends with someone more popular, but in my experience people who say, "I know PersonX who did SoAndSo" do so because they can't say "I did SoAndSo."
