My friend and his GeForce 5700Ultra

Well, my friend bought an GeForce 5700U and now he has problems with it.
When trying to play games (Vice City, COD, KOTOR) the computer would just stop responding and he needs to shut it down in order to get it working again. Only one game works with him (NFSU)

His specs are these:

AMD Athlon XP 2600+
Shuttle AN35(N)
512 MB RAM
DX 9.0B
ForceWare 53.03

Is the problem in the card? Or is it just driver problem?

UPDATE: COD only brings an error message on his machine

Could be a mix of old and new drivers. Maybe have him install and use Driver Cleaner2, and remove old driver traces, then install the new ones.

Very possible, although those FlexATX board are designed to run with less juice. Shuttle uses either a 160W or 200W MicroPSU.
They could have come out with higher ones by now but the 160 and 200 are most common. It might help if you tried the driver cleaner2 option that was posted a few up from here. If that doesn't work, try putting the card in a friends machine and test it.
I have heard that people with shuttles have run there 9700's in shuttles with the 160W with no problem. Not all are the same I guess.
