My foot is nasty - how do I make it less nasty?

You have a build up of moisture in your shoes, and you stay on your feet too long. See a chiropotisit (sp?)

that doesnt look too bad, dont worry about it. I guess you could put some moisturizing stuff on it, that might help. I play hockey year round and i have some nasty blisters and whatnot going on from my skates, so i've just gotten used to gross feet.

Yes, I waer socks, and wear my shoes about 15 hours a day. I can't afford to pay a doctor to look at something that's really just cosmetic.

Should I just try to get more air to my feet?

Take a shower often.

But seriously, you might have a fungus. Try alternating pairs of shoes. Buy some foot powder, may be caused by moisture and/or athlete's foot or maybe your skin is very dry. After shower, put powder on feet before putting on sock. Sprinkle powder in shoes, too. Should take a few days. If not, see a dermatologist (skin doctor).

My $.02

i don't know what i expected when i clicked on the link. but i was still grossed out. Wear some sandals with socks. Yeah, I know it's dorky but it lets your feet breath and keeps them from getting sticky on the bare sandal.

Use an anti-fungal cream/powder/somethin' like Lotrimin, Tinactin, etc. a couple times a day. Alternate shoes often (at least every day). Bring a change of socks with you for work/play (if convenient).

Let your feet see the fresh air more often. Walk around bear footed around the house. If thats not possible try sandal.

If possible, I'd get that checked out by a docto rule out underlying infection. Barring that, try the foot powder and change socks regularly. Make sure your feet can breathe. You might also get some pumice and scrap that nasty dead skin off and wash your foot thoroughly.
