Again, the reason I attended that rally was only because I wanted AND NEEDED to see for myself HOW THE HELL can this happen?
I still can not believe and find it totally insane that Hitler was able to stir and excite so many Germans into following Adolf. And this insane republican devotion for Donald Trump is also mind blowing of the same scope.
With Adolf Hitler, we all know how that escalated.
With Donald Trump, how will his hate and division escalate during a second term?

Believe me, no closet Trumpie here.
But I needed to know how this sort of thing could happen with supposedly intelligent educated people?
Who are these people? What are these people? How can they embrace such insanity and hate? Add to that, they actually believe god is on their side as was the case with the Nazis.
Hitler's Germany also believed that god was on their side while engaging with exterminating the Jews.
They claimed Biblical scripture supported their actions. Justified the means.
Sound familiar Donald?
That may sound pretty harsh as a comparison but you only need to witness their actions.
The actions of the Donald Trump and his Trumpie's.
Trumpie's are closed minded. They categorize people into groups of us and them.
They cage children. They build walls. They hate Muslims. They consider immigrants as animals. And on and on it goes.

I just HAD to see who there people are? What motivates them?
Like I said, the rally was simply mind blowing and I had to see for myself.
Knowledge is power!!!
Go check out THE OTHER SIDE to see what they are up to.
Have they been drugged?
Are they part of a cult?
Are they insane?
Are they possessed?
Are they so full of hate that they have lost control?
And, why Trump?
Donald Trump is nothing. Less than a nothing. Yet, they adore and worship him.
I needed to see this for myself so I could fully understand what is at risk.
Just maybe Knowledge is more than power, maybe Knowledge should be our motivation.
Thanks for helping Trump! You just got Brad Parscale'd on twitter for that rally (assuming you're a registered Democrat). I know 26%+ registered Dems requested tickets for the Wildwood rally and they're marketing the hell out of that as well as voters who didn't vote before or haven't voted in a long time. Iowa stats should be up soon if they're not already.

Also, yes we know Trump is lying and we don't give a dam. Why? Because the Dems haven't put anyone up who will stand for we want (pro-1st, pro-2nd, pro-life, pro-church, pro-family, pro-jobs, low taxes, anti-illegals, anti-PC etc). Give us a candidate like that and sure, I'll consider voting for a Democrat. If impeachment/Russiagate was any indication of how crazy the Dems got triggered and how much tax money they're willing to waste on accomplishing nothing then I'm guessing the Dems have nobody even similar to Trump outside of Tulsi. Oh, and let us know when Tulsi is allowed back on the debate stage. Oh wait, she's a Russian agent right?

There really isn't an "if" there. It is 100%, absolutely, positively, zero margin of error true that they ARE total idiots.
I have to disagree. I dont agree with them, and some are certainly uneducated idiots, but I dont think one can accurately say they ALL are. For instance, I have a relative who is a strong supporter of Trump who has a degree in finance and is a retired VP of a large savings and loan. Selfish, willing to accept almost anything for pushing conservative issues, most notably right to life? For sure, but certainly not an idiot.

Edit: I am talking about the entire group of Trump supporters. If you are referring to the ones who wear MAGA hats and go crazy at his rallys, yea, most of them are bat shit crazy.

I will say this. I know for a fact there are at best 2 types of Trump supporters. Fucking morons and fucking Nazis. There is not a third type.

I just think that view of trump supporters is almost as biased in reverse as Trump supporters' views of immigrants, minorities or the poor.

What do you call people who ignore or don't believe reality?

Has anyone been following the HBO mini-series based on Stephen King's book -- "The Outsider"?

If you have, you'll understand the misgivings I've had and suspicions that have grown in my mind before I even started watching the mini-series. In a way, the mini-series has some spooky parallels to what I'd already been thinking.

I am an indifferent agnostic, raised Catholic, and carry around the same folklore and sense of it that Camille Paglia mentioned when she told Bill Buckley in the late '80s -- "Bill! Bill! Once a Catholic, always a Catholic!" He had asked her about her positive appraisal of pornography, mentioning her Catholic upbringing as if she had simply cast it away.

And as a college student, I read Milton's "Paradise Lost" -- the epic poem in which a central character never sleeps and flies around in the Darkness of Eternity.

These people who follow Trump are not big on serious reading and serious study. They probably never learned to think for themselves. They've probably never attacked a challenging problem that requires a rigorous application of logic -- unless it's in some specialized technical area, and they'd never think of a synergy of knowledge to apply the same thinking skills to areas outside their expertise like politics or economics. They don't have a facility for sorting out the False from the True, and worst of all -- they don't care. They just want to tyrannize everyone else with their frustrations by imposing a sense of whimsically chosen causation for everything they don't like about life or America.

My superstitions? I'll tell you. Go back on the web and look for pictures of the younger and older man who single-handedly arranged the JFK murder because of whim, jealousy, and just a desire to accomplish a great project of a psy-war campaign on his own -- hijacking the timing and pre-propaganda myth of the book and film "Manchurian Candidate": David Atlee Phillips. The way Phillips' mother describes him, he could've been a little Trump in his youth. He was a malignant narcissist -- should never have been recruited by the CIA in 1950. And his later photographs bear a sort of vague likeness to Trump. Originally fair, slightly freckled, blond, he was later more "orange". There's a likeness there. He was born on October 31 -- Halloween. Phillips was a lot smarter than Trump, but his downfall is that he wanted to prove it to himself, so he could go back and look at it again and again -- his embedded, hidden-in-plain-view boastful confession to masterminding the entire assassination. And the way he did it, in published books that had to be vetted by CIA colleagues who would never figure it out, was something Trump could never do. At least Phillips could write books by himself, even if he would never achieve literary or dramatic greatness.

So you can extrapolate my superstitions from that. And that's why I won't write hate mail to Trump. That's why I don't want to go to a Trump rally "just to see". I don't want any contact with Satan Beelzebub and his minions. I'm afraid it might rub off on me. And having a dialog with the devil -- that's only something that the historical Jesus -- if you believe in Jesus -- would be able to survive.

Thank God that Trump is basically an idiot himself. He may be capable of enthralling a legion of idiots. But he can't think that far ahead. If he had, he wouldn't be in the pickle he's in. On the other hand, imagine if the Russians could somehow pull off the same victory they'd managed in 2016.

If something like that happened, we would all be in trouble. I'm sure of it. And I'm no Bible-thumper. I'm focused on this world -- not the next.

I have to admit I'm a little jelly right now. I live in the Bay Area so I'll likely never see a Trump rally unless I'm a billionare, but I'm interested in attending for antropological reasons alone.
