hi,

i have the following in my newegg basket right now ... although i have selected the RAM here as well I would welcome other selections for RAM .. this PC will be used mostly for gaming/work and I will be overclocking... here are the parts i have so far.. I also needs suggestions for a heatsink that will fit on the abit nf7-s mobo and also a fan to go along with the heatsink and thermal paste... thanks

You might want to go higher than PC3200 if you really want to cut loose on the OC'ing, although you have to ask yourself whether it's going to provide enough benefit to justify the cost hike.

For a heatsink/fan combo, look at a Thermalright SLK-800A with maybe the Enermax manually-adjustable 80mm fan, which can run very quietly or be cranked up if you need to. Coolermaster/Shin-Etsu thermal grease or one of the Arctic Silver products would be good-quality stuff to use. If you do get the Thermalright, then these tips might be good to take note of.

I'm guessing you're re-using your drives, monitor and so on?

i agree at least go with cl2-3-3-6 ram@200mhz zalman makes a great, quiet hsf that will keep that chip cool at 2.5 or so ghz. you need a good psu also to make this baby work enermax does good here.

Nice rig.... should be able to play a mean game of solitare on it!

Ditto on the ram though. I just hope the overclocking is worth the price increase.....

Ok let me be more specific.... get one that has an fsb of 333. Sorry, didnt know i had to specify.
