Just wanted to share my results, I've been tweaking and working through the C2D overclock guide with my e4500, and here's what I've got so far:
2.926Ghz (266 x 11fsb) @ 1.350v. CPU-Z reports 1.312 (big Vdroop?)
Temps: 28 Idle, 59 max load under Prime95, ~44 max load under Crysis
I've ran Prime95 for a little over an hour, I think I'll try overnight a little later. From what I've seen 59 is a bit high for load and I'm running a Freezer Pro 7...debating whether to take it off, clean the surfaces, and use some old AS5 I have sitting around somewhere. Also the CPU fan is running slow as S, never running above 600rpm or so. (see thread here)
Next step: tighten the RAM from 5-5-5-15, although it was going crazy on auto before, cpu-z was reporting something like 4-3-3-9 when I thought the RAM default was 4-4-4-12. Maybe the BIOS is optimizing it.
Specs:
Gigabyte P35 DS3L
Intel E4500 w/ AC Freezer Pro 7
GSkill 2GB DDR800
Ati Radeon 3850
