don't really have time to run. I get up at 6 and leave by 7:00 sometimes early if the weather is bad.

running? is that what I do when I get another soda from the fridge in between online deaths?

heh.

i *hate* running. even when I was in the Army, I got good at it, and still hated it. with a passion.

I figure it takes less time to exercise than it does to shop for clothing to try to hide a fat, flabby body :)

Yeah, but you don't shop for clothing first thing in the morning... :D
I leave enough time to get up and leave, only. I can't do anything else! :p

If you dont eat any junk, you should see it pretty fast. I've lost a couple of pounds just by eating normal meals and not snacking on junk between them and only drinking water.

If i do get tempted to have a snack i just eat a baby carrot or two or just chew some sugar free gum lol.

I started running regularly again in January. I'm starting to see some weight loss after about four weeks. I think you really start to get results in a couple of months if you keep at it.

Don't run every day. Give yourself at least one day off so that your muscles can heal.

Ok,what do you do on the off day? With P walking it was great because everyday wasn't too much,I'll want to supplement my runs with something else.

I used to run a lot in the past and then after some knee problems, I decided to do other methods of cardio, albeit, not so fun. Anyhow, since I have to be at work for 6:45 am and I don't get home until 7:45 pm at which point I do not want to work out after running around all day, my workouts have become less frequent. :( I hate that and so on my off days I try to make up for it but suddenly, I find the time goes too darn fast! ARGH! :p

Whew... you're motivated than I am, Geekbabe. Good luck with the new running regimen... I've been lazy lately, maybe I'll work out today after work...

You could work out other muscles instead of your leg muscles. Situps? Pushups? Eventually chinups (Maybe you can do them now, I don't know). But you have to give you muscles time to rebuild.
