My first modeling job! Anyone try African food?

No, seriously.

My sister-in-law is an Asst. Photo Editor for Time Out Chicago and will be actually taking pictures of a restaurant they are apparently reviewing and has asked my wife and I to come out and eat so she has obliging models 🙂

I've had Ethiopian and really enjoyed it, anything particularly different to expect, and anyone have suggestions for what to try?

This is such a strange thread. "African food" "Models" "Obliging models" all in the same little paragraph.

Is African food more like Asian food or European food?

Well the Ethiopian food I had was most like Indian food.
Spicy stewed meats and vegetables, no utensils, just a kind of flat bread that tasted like fresh sourdough. It was really tasty, and eating it is a fun social endeavor since it's generally served on a communal plate..

wait, how can you have Ethiopian food? what is it, like a few blades of grass and some grubs? i didn't think they had food in ethiopia, weren't they all starving?

Ethiopian food? Apparently they are doing great things from soybeans delivered from Red Cross these days.

Is there even such a thing as African food? I would think there is very little in common between the North African cuisine and sub saharan African cuisine.

Congrats for being the first to pull that one. I expected it earlier.

Afaik, Ethiopia did at one time have enough food to make something out of. Warren Buffet could have done them and Rwanda a favor and moved them all to New Jersey, but he didn't.
