When I was 17 (less than a year ago). I told the story so many times. It was on my g/f birthday. We made plans, as friends, to go out after work. I was expecting to be home at around 6, so that is what I told my mom. I was dropping her off at her house at around 7:30, but the thing was she was supposed to be home earlier to go out w/ her parents. Oh well, she decided to walk around with me more, so we did. Then at 8, she said she wanted to drop me off at home. I was ok, it your b-day, why not. Then we arrived at my house, she said she wanted to tell me something. She couldn't say it. All she said was that it was a wish she made when we first met and talked. 2 hours later I was still outside my house waiting for her to tell me. It was around 11 and I had to wake up at 6 the next morning, so I was thinking, "she is not gonna say it, so I might as well go". Right when I was gonna go, she stopped me and tried to tell me agin. She couldn't. At one last attempt, I put both my arms on to her shoulders and looked her in her eyes and smiled while saying "please tell me". She nodded and still hesitated. I turned my head with a tired frown and I heard her say the words "Would you kiss me?". Kiss her I did.
OK, forget the lin.... here is the poem
We Kiss
I stood there, looking into your eyes
I wondered if what I wanted to do was wise.
I stood there holding your hands in the cold.
I wanted to kiss you, but I thought it was too bold.
It was a cold night, but I did not care,
It was that feeling I get every time you're near.
We stood there for hours hoping it would come true.
It was at that instant, you told me what to do.
I stood wondering if something could go wrong
That feeling was erased when another feeling came in strong.
We were shivering, but as soon as we kissed
The fear and the cold were erased; they could no longer exist.
I stood there close to you with a feeling of bliss
We came closer together for yet another romantic kiss.
