My first jump into WiFi SMC 7004AWBR + Dell TrueMobile 1150

I just bought the SMC 7004AWBR for $70 after $40 MIR with free shipping from Amazon.com
Also picked up a Dell TrueMobile 1150 for $53 with free shipping from Dell.com

For the longest time I couldn't decide on a WAP, Linksys, Netgear, D-Link, SMC, or Orinoco were my choices but there's just a ton of info out there. So I picked what everyone else is raving about, I hope I'm happy with my purchase.

This should work just fine in a simple 2 floor (basement & ground level) house with good signal strength everywhere, right?

The Dell 1150 should work just fine in a Compaq Presario 1500 laptop, right?

good choice I have a similar setup
same dell card and a SMC 7004vwbr (same as yours plus SPI firewall I think)

it should work fine
