Hi after a bit of research I have come up with the following components, would really appreciate any feedback. Its going to be used for uni work, a bit of gaming & general desktop type stuff:
Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 160GB UDMA100
Antec Sonata UK 380W PSU ATX
Plextor 16xDVD 48xCD Int IDE Retail
XFX GeForce 6600GT 128MB PCI-E 2xDVI-I VO
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Socket 939 512Kb Inc Fan
NEC DVD+-R/RW 16x Dual Layer IDE Black - Drive Only
Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 Socket 939 nForce 4-4X PCI-E ATX

Realised I missed off the RAM, just 512mb of Crucial stuff.
Thanks for the input, cant see any 7200.8's that are in the same price range, the cheapest one is a 250gb thats another £35, is there much in it performance wise?
Also is that case ok cause my friend reckons it wont be cool enough or enough power??

Could anyone help me to evaluate the following components. Please help. Thank you.

2* SaeSeagate Barracuda 7200.8 120GB UDMA133
NEC DVD+-R/RW 16x Dual Layer IDE Black

Leadtek Ge Force PX6600GT PCI-E

P4 3.0GHz (1024) 800MHz

ASUS Socket 775 Asustek P5GDC-V Deluxe Intel 915G DDR ATX video+sound+LAN+1394

Genius Wood Home Theater SW 5.1 with Subwoofer 3600W

If that's the leadtek 6600GT TDH then that's a great card based on the 6600 chipset. From reading around these forums and Anand giving it the gold medal it should be great.
I just ordered one myself!
