We did our draft a week and a half ago. Eight team roto league, but with 12 starters (3 bench) to make it a little deeper.
What are your league details? Number of teams, roster size, style (is it roto? Hope so) starters/bench, etc?
For our league Centers were at even more of a premium than usual since we start two and there really are only a handful of elite centers, though at least a few can split time at the PF slot which is helpful.
Boy, that's pretty deep. I don't know, grab a center pretty early, depending on where you are drafting.
What categories are the scoring in? Since we have both FG% and FT% as categories and since I new scoring is pretty easy to come by, I picked high percentage guys that give me other categories because guys that are high percentage usually stay that way and aside form the top guys, scoring is more erratic.
I won my league last year focusing on percentages, assist, and steals. The other stuff just sort of came along or was easy to grab elsewhere (rebounds are everywhere on waivers). I'm also first so far in my league this year, even though it's super early.
Hope that makes sense and helps at least a little.
I was surprise with the new style of drafting by auctions. I still had like $45 left at the end of the auction which I could had use to buy a better starter.
