I have the Powershot S300 these little cameras rock.

Like I say in all other Canon camera threads - "Canon Cameras Rock!" I'm loving life with my G2. However, I've used an S110, S40 and then my G2. I'm very impressed with the quality of the shots. I can't believe Kodak puts out such a crappy digital camera - I'm surprised they are still in business. I took some comparable shots with a Kodak model 3600 and then my G2. I couldn't believe how bad the Kodak was. Ugh!

Enjoy your S230 - it looks like a winner! :)

Actually, with digital cameras, it's not only about taking the pictures. You also have to take into consideration that you have many software tools (e.g. - Photoshop) which you can use to really enhance your photos. Plus, having that "instant gratification" of seeing your pictures within a few minutes of taking them can't be beat either! :)
