My first custom loop. Help me do a shiny!

while a 3rd RAD might help now, it might go to waste after a future upgrade to lower power components.

That's cute, I know everyone is all mobile this and lower TDP that. But ask yourself, historically over the past decade have we trended toward needing less heat dissipation or more? Just look at the size of the average heatsink, gpu cooling assembly, or even the typical power supply, all those watts are going somewhere. I remember when a 600w psu used to be considered ridiculously monstrous, now it would be strained running a custom bios overvolted and clocked to the absolute max top end GPU alone.

Take a look at this. It was an early picture of my Watercool MO-RA3-420 which I am using as the sole rad in my rig 2 below.

I will tell you that THIS IS a BIG and arguably UGLY rad but Oh does it cool!

Take a look at this. It was an early picture of my Watercool MO-RA3-420 which I am using as the sole rad in my rig 2 below.

I will tell you that THIS IS a BIG and arguably UGLY rad but Oh does it cool!

The other nice benefit of doing that is that you don't need to worry about disassembly to clean your rad. Just wack it with some air and you're done.

Also, the big external block you showed looks great. And yeah, cleaning that would be wonderful and so easy to manage. You can also stick it right in front of a portable air conditioner! Oh baby instant water chiller.
Or dude, in the winter months, you can put that big square external rad IN THE WINDOW and suck freezing cold air right into that sucker.

I actually thought about doing a dual loop system for the winter time. Main loop runs to a heat exchanger, and then a glycol loop runs outside to a couple old aluminum car rads. -40C isn't liquid nitrogen territory, but it would still be interesting. A disaster waiting to happen, but definitely interesting.

I will. This is going down. Each component in my rig will have a 360 rad all to itself. Then my life will be complete.

no... you alway still end up wanting more like... oh quick disconnects, hard pipe connector fittings... and other things.

It never ends... even when u have a box of spare parts, you still end up buying more spare parts.

Just a third rad, lol. I needed a bracket, some fittings, fan cable splitters and extensions, moar tube, moAr fans but that's it.

The third rad just came in, and that third rad is...I said that THIRD RAD IS....Another beautiful UT60 triple rad by Alphacool!!! (crowd goes wild)

The mounting bracket will have the Rad in the back, mounted to the fan port. It will sit very close to the case, possibly too close to be able to get the hose to bend down into the case's tubing holes. I can go to home depot and find some suitable spacers or something. Shouldn't be an issue. I expect it to be up and running Saturday.

Hah, yeah no kidding regarding case size. What do you mean bleed air from the loop? I was going to just empty the loop and add the new radiator and fill the loop up again. It will all be one big loop still. I will do the whole "rock the case" thing and screw around with it until all the huge air pockets get filled.
I tried to mount the radiator last night, but its too close to the case and blocks the power cord and some other stuff, so I ordered some standoffs and will have them for installation tonight. I think it will work.
Koolance makes a nice bracket that's adjustable, but I want this installed tonight and don't feel like waiting for it to ship. Maybe I'll upgrade to it later if I'm in the mood.

It worked! It looks ugly but sexy and is an odd masterpiece. I posted mid fan level and max fan level peak CPU temp comparisons during firestrike extreme "combined" test looping to stress the heat capacity of the loop. Temps dropped nicely. All testing was done with GPU's at 1440mhz and CPU @ 4.6.

EDIT: Damn. I bet I could have fit a quad back there instead of a triple. Oh well. Next time or something. Its nice with all triples. Nice and consistent.
