My First Custom Built PC -- comments appreciated

I have finally decided the not only upgrade my current PIII 500 Dell, but also give a go at buying all the parts separate and building it on my own. I have little experience besides adding memory and a CD burner but I'm hoping this will work out. It seems that newegg is the placee to get my parts.

Here is what I am currently thinking: My PC

(link fixed ... I think)

There is no monitor or videocard currently because I think I'm going to buy the monitor locally (though suggestions would be appreciated). And for the videocard, I am thinking about a Saphire 9700 Pro that is for sale at nutrend.com (It is bulk, what exactly does that mean, do you get the warrantee of a retail or OEM?)

If you could let me know what you think of it at the moment I'd appreciate it. I have spent quite a bit of time researching but it'd be great if anyone could point out any glaring incompatibilities etc.

Thanks in advance,
Brett My PC

WOW!! You want the same exact stuff I have in my wish list at NEWEGG!!!! That is one in a million!!!!! Just kidding. That link tells newegg to look at a cookie that has been set on your pc. That's why it will work when you go to that link, but i doesn't for any of us. Do like the other guy said and write out the stuff.

I had a feeling that wouldn't work... anyway...

Nice system -

Having used a Barton 2500. XP2700 and many XP2100+, I would suggest you save yourself a bundle and get the XP2700.

Newegg has a refurb XP2700 for $191 shipped. The BArton new is $340. Save yourself $150.

IMHO.
