My first case

I'm working on building my first system, an Athlon 64 3000+ on a new nforce4 w/ a 6600 GT. I've got that much figured out I think.

My big problem is deciding what case to put it in. For the longest time I wanted a black Coolermaster Wavemaster, but I can't afford to pay $150 for a case that doesn't even come with a PSU.

Basically, I'm looking for a Black case that comes with a good PSU for less than $150. I need it to handle the cpu and video card I listed above without much worry.

Here's some I've thought about and my concerns on them.

Antec SLK3700-BQE - Like this case, simple, supposedly quiet, not huge, and only$75 w/ PSU. Only problem is that I've heard the psu isn't good enough for an athlon 64.

Antec SLK2650-BQUE - Earlier thread said this case has a better PSU, maybe it's a good option

Coolermaster Cavalier 1 or 3 - Don't really know much about these, but they look nice and I would assume that coolermaster throws decent psu's in with them (350W)

Antec SOHO SX1040BII - from the reviews I have read, it's supposedly fairly quiet, good 400W PSU, and fairly cool...only problem is it is utterly massive

Antec SOHO SX635BII - little brother to above, somes witha 350W Smartpower ATX12v psu. cheap, possibly a good buy for my needs?

Antec Sonata w/ 380W PSU - like the idea of this "quiet" case a lot, my only concern is that I won't like the "piano" shiny black at all (haven't seen it in person).

Thermaltake Tsunami w/ 400w PSU - supposedly good psu, and cool w/ fans...but some reviews have mentioned it's fairly noisy. I like this case a lot...looks just like the wavemaster, but cheaper and comes with a good PSU to boot! I'm not building a super-quiet system, but it *is* in the bedroom, and noise is a concern.

That's the main ones I've looked at on newegg. Right now I think I'm leaning most towards the Tsunami, Cavalier 1, the smaller Antec SOHO file server, or possibly the 2650BQE depending on what folks think here about it.

Have you looked at the coolermaster centurion? I picked on up for £30 ($65) and then got a 300W silent PSU for another £50, although you can get cheaper ones that aren't silent. 300W is plenty for a computer, here's what I got all running off my PSU:

Abit NF2 Motherboard,
overclocked XP2600
1GB 3200 RAM
9800 Pro, overclocked
Hauppage winTV Primio TV card
Boeder multimedia card
Wireless network card
coolermaster musketeer fan controller
2 x 120mm aluminium fans
1 x 80mm LED fan

and the thing runs stable as anything.
Hope this helps.

Kingwin 424 series, Silverstone Berserker. Add a Silverstone 400W PSU or similar and you will have a great box for under your budget limit.

The SLK3700-BQE is reasonably quiet. If you would feel comfortable with a larger power supply then order the case from Directron.com. They will swap out the power supply for any other one you pick and give you credit for the 350W one that comes with the BQE.

Same goes for the Sonata. The Sonata was my second choice ;)
